Code of Conduct
1. Respect for Confidentiality
-
Confidentiality is crucial in our program. Anything shared within the group should remain within the group unless explicit consent is given to share it outside.
-
Respect others' privacy and do not discuss sensitive personal information shared by fellow participants.
2. Respectful Communication
-
Speak to others with kindness, empathy, and respect.
-
Use "I" statements when expressing your thoughts, feelings, and experiences to avoid making others feel blamed or judged.
-
Refrain from interrupting others. Everyone should have the opportunity to speak and share their voice without fear of judgment.
3. Active Listening
-
Listen to others with an open mind and heart.
-
Do not offer unsolicited advice unless asked. Instead, offer supportive statements that validate others’ feelings and experiences.
-
Be present and attentive when others are speaking, showing genuine interest in their words.
4. Non-Discrimination
-
This program is for all women, regardless of background, race, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, ability, or socioeconomic status.
-
Do not tolerate any form of discrimination, including but not limited to racism, homophobia, transphobia, ableism, or sexism.
5. Creating a Safe Space
-
Physical and emotional safety is paramount. If something makes you or others feel unsafe, speak up in a calm and respectful manner.
-
Respect personal space and boundaries. Do not engage in physical contact unless you have permission from the other individual.
-
Refrain from any form of verbal or physical harassment, bullying, or intimidation.
6. Exclusion of Men from Program Activities
-
As this program is designed to specifically support women's mental health and emotional well-being, men are not permitted to participate in any discussion forums, groups, or activities that are part of the community.
-
This is to ensure that the space remains focused on the unique experiences and challenges women face, and that participants can share and engage openly in a safe, gender-specific environment.
7. Personal Responsibility
-
Take responsibility for your own mental health and emotional wellbeing, and be honest about your needs and limitations.
-
If you are in crisis or need immediate help, inform the facilitator or seek professional support outside of the program.
-
Commit to your personal growth, and be open to new perspectives and experiences.
8. Non-Judgment
-
Approach each other with understanding and refrain from making judgments about other participants.
-
Everyone’s journey is unique. Allow others to express themselves without fear of judgment or criticism.
-
Show empathy rather than sympathy. This is a space where everyone’s struggles are valid and worthy of support.
9. Support and Encouragement
-
Offer encouragement and support to fellow participants without diminishing their experiences.
-
Celebrate victories, whether big or small, and help lift each other up through challenges.
-
Be a source of positive reinforcement, providing strength to those who need it without offering unsolicited solutions.
10. Boundaries
-
Respect others’ personal boundaries, both emotional and physical.
-
Do not push anyone to share more than they are comfortable with.
-
Respect the time allotted for discussions and activities, and be mindful of others' needs.
11. Commitment to Participation
-
Show up for yourself and for others by participating fully and respectfully in all activities.
-
If you are unable to attend a session, notify the facilitator in advance.
-
Actively engage in discussions, exercises, and activities as appropriate to your comfort level.
12. Professional Support
-
While this program offers a safe space for emotional wellbeing and support, it is not a substitute for professional mental health treatment.
-
If you feel that you require additional support or resources, please seek the guidance of a licensed mental health professional.
13. Accountability
-
If you violate any of the guidelines in this Code of Conduct, you will be given the opportunity to reflect on your actions and, if necessary, seek resolution.
-
Repeated violations of the code of conduct may lead to temporary or permanent removal from the program at the discretion of the facilitators.
By participating in this program, you are agreeing to uphold this Code of Conduct to ensure a safe, supportive, and empowering space for all women involved. We are committed to helping each other grow, heal, and thrive together.
Thank you for your cooperation and for being part of this collective journey toward mental and emotional well-being.
